Panagiotis Manesiotis

p_manesiotis2I graduated from the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2000. I then joined the group of Prof. B. Sellergren at the University of Dortmund, in Germany as a post-graduate student, working on the development of MIPs targeting compounds of biological interest. Upon award of my PhD in 2005, I was appointed as Post-Doctoral researcher at the University of Strathclyde in the group of Prof. D.C. Sherrington and Prof. P.A.G. Cormack. Returning to Greece, I took a Lecturer position at the Department of Materials Science, University of Patras. Between 2010-2012 I worked as Senior Researcher at the Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Centre, at the Waterford Institute of Technology, in Ireland. I joined the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Queen’s University in Belfast in January 2013 as Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry, and promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2017. My main research interests include development of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) for separations, sensing and catalysis, supramolecular chemistry and synthetic receptors.

My full CV is available on Queen’s research portal.
